The Leisure Plus Card (used to be called CityCard) gives you money off all the council leisure centres, swimming pools and libraries.

  • You also get money off at Newcastle Bowl, Newcastle Playhouse, Dance City, Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle Speedway, Newcastle Eagles, Newcastle Vipers Ice Hockey, Westerhope Golf Club, Kenton Park Sports Centre, Riley’s Snooker Club and Wet and Wild at North Shields.  

 

 

Helpers can get a special card to get in free.

It costs £2.50 for a year. You need to take a passport photo and your benefit book with you when you go to buy one.

You can get a card from any library, swimming pool, leisure centre or the Civic Centre.

Beamish Museum has a scheme. If you join The Beamish Club for £26.00. (£21 if you are over 60). You can get in free for a year

A group of more than 20 people who tell them that they are going can get in for £11 each.


The National Trust offers a ‘Link Pass’. If you are a group that is a charity or from a Local Authority (Council) you can book a visit, and get half price. Carers get in free.

Lots of places do give money off for people who are on benefit. It is always worth asking when you go.
